Royal Parks in London. The Green Park is the smallest
of the eight Royal Parks and is one of the busiest. It is peaceful, with trees and grassland. It was a popular place for ballooning attempts and public firework during the 18th and 19th centuries.
The Green Park is now an attractive place and all year round visitors can enjoy seeing common birds such as blackbird, starling, and tits. In the winter migrant birds are often seen there. The park is popular for sunbathing and picnics in fine weather. It is also popular as a healthy walking route. The paths are used by joggers and runners.
