There are many interesting subcultures in the modern world. They
are: hippies, punks, mods, rockers, goths, ravers, bickers, skinheads, hackers,
furry, grange and others. All of them are in their own unusual and attract a great interest, especially among the young generation.
The subculture is a generality of people, whose belief, outlooks on life and behavior are distinct from standard or simply hidden from general public.
Subcultures can differ on age, race, ethnic and-or a class association, a floor. Features which serve defining for subculture, can have aesthetic, religious, political and many other factors.

In the 1960s and 1970s a hippie was a person
who opposed the normal standards of society. Hippies wore unusual
clothes. Girls, for example, often wore Indian-style silk dresses and both men and women usually had long hair. They lived in groups together, often in quirt places in the countryside. Hippies believed in peace, and one of their favorite sayings was «Make love, not war». A lot of hippies in the US and Europe went on marches to protest against the Vietnam War. When the hippy movement started in the US ,especially in California, young people showed their peaceful feelings by wearing flowers in their hair. For this reason, they were also called flower people of flower children. Hippies listening to rock music . They enjoyed the songs of Bob Dylan and it was at this time that the Beatles wrote songs like «Give Peace a Chance» and «All You Need is Love». The hippies were talking about love and peace, punks were full of hate. They thought normal pop music was boring and listened to bands like aggressive music. Punks chose clothes that their parents hated. They wore ripped T-shirts, Doc Marten boots and leather jackets ,and often had brightly colored spiked hair.

Punk is a young person who dresses in a shocking
way to express his or her identity. The person is
thought to rebel against the society. The music is aggressive (Punk-rock). They reject everything. Punk’s subculture have their own beliefs, value systems, fashion and favorite music. They listen to punk-rock. He or her has brightly colored hair and wears metal chains. . They thought normal pop music was boring and listened to bands like aggressive music. Punks chose clothes that their parents hated. They wore ripped T-shirts, Doc Marten boots and leather jackets ,and often had brightly colored spiked hair.

Most British pubs at 10.30 or 11.00 pm and outside
of the cities there are few clubs and places that
stay open late. It can be irritating when you have nowhere to go at night. In the late 1980s, large parties called raves started up. They usually took place in empty buildings and you could dance all night to the fast beat of acid or techno music. Ravers were casual clothes, comfortable to dance in: loose T-shirts and jeans. Raves became linked with drugs and the police often tried to stop them. However, the parties continued, as the organizers would keep the location of the party secret until just before it started.

Furry - a subculture, bringing together people interested in anthropomorphic
animals in art, fiction, animation design. Feature of this subculture
is the desire to embody the image of an anthropomorphic animal in itself or in the works, by identifying with it and its representatives. To sum up "Furry" are images of animals who behaves like humans.

Young people have a particular relationship with the world. There
are many groupings (subcultures) that have interests different from those
of the mainstream culture. A particular cultural grouping is a way for young people to express their individuality (identity). By the mid-60s teenagers had begun to form distinct cultural groupings. Most young people in Britain follow some kind of youth culture: rocker, hacker, raver, skinhead, hippies, Goth, punk, baker… Many goths today are goths for a variety of other reasons. They like the music, or the clubs are better, they have goth friends and joined in with them, or they just like staying up late nights and goths are the only ones awake to talk to.

hard rock. Stylistic direction in rock music (alternative «new wave
grunge metal») and a youth subculture that has become one of the most remarkable phenomena of alternative rock of the late 1980's - mid 1's. Birthplace of grange became the city of Seattle (USA, Washington), the most outstanding representatives - four Seattle band: Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Nirvana and Sound garden.

In the UK, glamorous subculture emerged in the
70 - 80th years, but now it was in hiding.

In Russian the word describes the glamorous set of qualities by which a person can be attributed to the subculture of glamour. Clothing, accessories, footwear - all this must be firm, and is on the crest of the fashion wave. Appearance - tells the girls dresses, high heels and always brilliant makeup. In the locker room should be fur, but in a handbag - mobile, covered with crystals Swarovski or Tiffany. Typical signs - following a sophisticated fashion, speech, way of life, striving constantly to embellish clothing, musical preferences, which have no place to other subcultures: rock, rap, metal, hip-hop, gothic, etc. , basically just pop music.

opinion, this subcultures are positive for society and do not
bring it any harm. Besides, they are very interesting and peculiar. But I only like some parts of this subcultures. Not all.
So I choose my own subculture. The subculture of photographers. In our spare time, my friend and I like doing different photos of nature, animals and people. And I think we are good at it. My friend often puts to the Internet our pictures and people like them too. I think it's wonderful when a person have a hobby and I hope we will develop our subculture of photographers!
