Samuel Morse was born in Charlestown (Massachusetts, USA) in a
family of wealthy clergyman. His father, the Reverend Dzhezhediya Morse,
was very interested in geography and painting, but always remained true to its chosen path of service to God.

College, but he did not show much interest in the
sciences. After college Morse got a job as a clerk in Boston, but soon began to ask his father to let him go to Europe - to take painting lessons.
