But in the green fields full

And forest, gardens, free and dust.

Your hills and rivers, sand on strands

Which gives me always such delight!

Winter
Try to translate this poem into Russian. Create your own poem about winter or your favorite season.
Clouded with snow,
The cold winds blow,
And shrill on leafless bough
The robin with its burning breast
Alone sings now.
The rayless sun
Day`s journey done
Sheds its last ebbing light
On fields in leagues of beauty spread,
Unearthly white.
Thick draws the dark
And spark by spark
The frost-fires kindle, and soon
Over that sea of frozen foam
Floats the white moon.

She took a board for making skins and changed it into a feather`s tail; the duck`s wings which she had used to sweep the floor she changed into her own wings and she made o nose from a little thimble. Then she decided to fly away from her house, from children. She was flying and flying for some time and suddenly saw her children running after their mother with a scoop (ковшик).
They wept but they could not run any more. They wept but they could not run any more. The children asked their mother to come back. But the mother sat on the top of a fir-tree and said in a loud voice:”Сu – ckoo! Сu – ckoo! It`s too late!» Since that time she had been as a cuckoo bird.
