WATER
The share of Africa accounts for 1/5 of the world's water resources
Water resources are considerable, but posted on the continent is very uneven (the largest rivers: the Nile, Congo, Niger, Zambezi, Orange River, Senegal, etc., the largest lakes:. Victoria, Nyasa, Tanganyika, and Chad).
It is best supplied with water equatorial region (heavy rains and high water, throughout the year, the river)
With the removal of the equator water availability decreases, reaching a minimum level in the deserts of the Northern and Southern hemisphere (Sahara, Libyan, Nubian and Namib deserts). In these areas, the main source of water are groundwater, transit rivers (Nile, Niger and Orange, as well as lakes in the neighboring areas (water transfer).
Problems:
Uneven water accommodation requires cooperation between
countries
Possession of the water means the ownership of land especially in arid and semi-arid areas
The need for sustainable and integrated management of water resources, particularly in view of the need for irrigation.
With urbanization, the risk of water pollution
