“A Sound Mind is in a Sound Body” Sport is imposing order on what was chaos. Цель урока: Практическая:: Актуализировать знания учащихся по теме, совершенствовать навыки коммуникативного общения, развивать и поддерживать мотивацию в овладении речевой деятельностью на уроках английского языка. Образовательная: Расширять и поглибшуваты знания учащихся по теме урока, обучать учеников работать в парах, группах (интерактивные формы), аргументировано высказывать свое мнение по теме. Развивающая:: Развивать самообразовательную компетенцию учащихся, память, критическое мышление, внимание, творческие и коммуникативные способности, самостоятельно решать поставленные задачи; развивать навыки и умение работать в команде; развивать культуру интеллектуального труда. Воспитательная:: Воспитывать любовь к физической культуре и спорту, желание заниматься спортом, обогащать духовный мир личности. Социальная:: Развивать толерантность, умение понимать человека, адекватно реагировать на поведение других.

to see you. Are all pupils healthy today? P. All pupils are healthy today. T. That`s nice because the theme of the lesson is “A sound mind is in a sound body” The aims of the lesson are: - to master by practice the usage of the thematic lexical material ; - deepen and widen pupil’s know ledge on the theme “sport”; - to develop the skills of reading, writing, auding, speaking; - to develop creative thinking and imagination; - to bring up the feeling of our own responsibility for our health. Warming-up activity T. Dear pupils. For you health is one of the most important issues of concern, of course, for achieving success in future life you must be health both physically and mentally. Some people live long and fell really well, some people suffer from illness imaginable What helps a person to keep fit, to remain healthy? If you do not know how to do it, and even if you know I invite you to attend our lesson, develop to sport and it’s role in the life. You are welcome!

Pupil’s discussion. T. Many young people have

a lot of energy, they run, play, go in for sport. Other don’t like sport, they like to read a lot , to play computer games, to smoke. What about you, pupils? What is sport in your life? P1. I think many people have a lot of energy. If they don’t get the exercise that their bodies want, than things can go badly wrong, I am for an active style of life. P2. I am sure human beings weren’t built for sitting at the table all day; our body is constructed for running, jumping, climbing and variety of other activities. I am for sport. P3. Our mind works all day, but the body does nothing. The results can vary from depression to severe illness to early death. As for me, I believe that sport cannot stand in the way of many important things.

Sports all the year round A lot of people all over the world are fond of sports and games. There are the things in which people of every nationality and class are united. Physical exercises of any kind are useful and can make our bodies stronger and our health better. The most popular outdoor winter sports are ice-hockey, skiing and tobogganing. Some people greatly enjoy figure-skating and ski-jumping. Isn’t it nice to go to the skating-rink to skate or to the forest and mountains to ski on a frosty winter day? Summer gives excellent opportunities for swimming, boating, sailing and many other sports. Among outdoor games football probably takes the first place in public interest – this game is played in most counties in the world. The other games that have firmly established themselves in favour in different in different countries are tennis, volleyball, basketball, badminton and table tennis, rugby and cycling and many others. All the year round people indulge in athletics, gymnastics, track and field events, running, jumping and jogging. Quite a few men are keen on boxing, wrestling , while scores of young girls and women enjoy calisthenics. Over the last years aerobics and shaping have become popular with girls and young women. The most famous promoter of this kind of sports was a well-known American actress Jane Fonda. She encouraged women of all ages all over the world to go in helps them to keep fit and healthy. Among the indoor games the most popular are billiards, bowling, droughts
