- 14. Ail is divided into 2 parts: the
- 15. The central part of ail is the fireside, where the ochok stands .

- 19. Altai people bow to the nature, Uch-Kurbustan, Umai-Ene, Burkhan, the Sun, the Moon.
- 20. Some other nationalities have their own dwellings like the Altaians.

- 22. The yakut’s -urasa
- 23. The nenets’s - chum
- 24. The tuba’s yurta
- 25. The khakas’s yurta
- 26. The kazakh’s yurta
- 27. The buryat’s yurta
- 28. Their facade are different from one
- 29. Some ails have the roofs in a dome state, windows, stove instead of a fireside.
- 30. The modern ails stands on the cement base and have floor.

Слайд 4 Altai ail is a traditional national dwelling. It is a
cone-shaped building with 6 or 8 corners.
Слайд 5Our ancestors lived in these dwellings. It was moved from
one place in summer to another in winter.
Слайд 6 It was covered with the larch of the trees. The forms
of the ails like as the Egyptian pyramids.
Слайд 7An ancient altaian could stay in the ail and say
the exact time watching after the sun’s rays.
Слайд 12 When we go into the ail we greet the owner
of the dwelling. When we go out ,we bow to
the enternal blue sky- Tengry & greet the sun, the earth, the new day.
Слайд 14Ail is divided into 2 parts: the left is the
man’s side the right is the woman’s side. Opposite the
door there is the most respected place for the owner, and the dearest guests.

When an Altaian catches a fire he treats the Fire-Mother
Umai - Ene & pronounces the blessing.

to draw out the smoke. This device(kerem) is used to
cure meat, the cheese by drying.
Слайд 18 The daiyk(a white ,blue,yellow ,green ribbon with a branch of
archyn) is put on the corner to the left side
of the ail for protection coming from the Earth,the Fire,the Water, the Wind.

Altai ail is not only a place for living, resting,
eating, celebrating the weddings but it is a sacred
place of bowing to the fireside, beginning & lasting of life.
