The story begins

from the opening of the college in West Kazakhstan region 1913 teaching of seminars.

1920 on the basis of the seminary was opened 4-year pedagogic technical secondary school. Before the opening in Uralsk pedagogical institute republic and oblast pedagogic technical secondary school was one of the important educational institution.

In 1957 regarding the opening of

the Faculty of Education (Department prepares educators gardens and qualified primary school teachers) in the Urals Institute of Education were not receive Pedagogical School. In 1967 in connection with closing of the Faculty of Education opened again Ural Pedagogical College

1998 college is given a name well-known Kazakh leader Zh.

Dosmukhamedov

Within the walls of a college rich with history, have been prepared over 50 thousand graduates, working on scientific direction in WKO.

From them the literature on special disciplines – 54200 copies,

on general educational disciplines - 8600. The training-methodical literature counting on a student makes - 45 units of editions.
Main fund of the educational, training-methodical literature has made 84 %, 10 % of fiction, 6 % of the periodical press

under the maintenance in number of 6600 copies have been

excluded from fund on the basis of the certificate .
In a library reading room we serve to 250 readers a day. The quantity of readers makes-1270, giving out of books on the average in educational year makes-72000.
There are alphabetic, regular, electronic catalogs in the library which are replenished in process of receipt of new books
In the beginning of 2010 for creation of electronic databases of fund the new program "Library Work" has been got where about 2000 copies of editions were entered

provide quality books, to promote of various literatures and education

in the mother tongue, to develope the love for the motherland and to knowledge. We always use the prints our local publishers. As a resulte in the first semester 2012-2013 school year for all specialties college book collection includes 1,424 books decreased the amount of 1,049,518. At the present day, the book fund college is 67,508, of which 32,245 in the state language. The book fund consists of textbooks, teaching tools, literature, encyclopedias, e-books, etc.

Book stock in the Kazakh language is-34,245 units to 31,242-Russian, English-2698.
