People believed in ghosts and witches and they stayed at
home.
Слайд 4At Hallowe’en the ghosts of the dead and all witches
of the world rode in the sky on their broomsticks.
Слайд 5People cut horrible faces in pumpkins and put a candle
inside, which shines through the eyes.
Слайд 6Children dress up as ghosts, witches, clowns, pirates and visit
their neighbours. “Trick or treat!” they cry. The grown ups
must give them a treat: some fruit, sweets or chocolate.
