The Kazakh Ablai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages, former Almaty Pedagogical Teacher's Institute of Foreign Languages, has provided foreign language education for 75 years.

The history of establishment and development of KazUIR&WL is closely related to the development of foreign language teaching in the country. Established in the Soviet period in 1941, after gaining the status of university it began a new page in its history. Training began with 231 students.

- Healthy Lifestyle Sector
This sector where active students popularize kind of sports, love to nature, rejection of bad habits among youth people of University.
Students of this sector organize student’s travels to the National parks of Almaty region. They always are participants of bicycle rides which is organized themselves or akymat of Almaty.

- Culture-mass sector
There aren’t any student’s events without this mini organization. Students of this way are center of fun times for every student of University. They are initiators and organizers all students events in our University, they find sponsors if event needs.

- Sector of international collaboration Students of this sector work with students who came for study from other countries. They organize collective projects, teambuildings, excursions in the Almaty city and visit National and Art Museums. Also they conduct English, China and Korean clubs between foreign and kazakhstani students etc.

departments, libraries, canteens, etc. This will help you navigate quickly and less nervous. 2) Find out the schedule. On the first day, and preferably as early as possible, you need to know the schedule. As students say, the schedule is your new Bible. 3) Collect information about teachers. After getting acquainted with the schedule, you need to learn something about the teachers. This is very important: name and Surname, discipline. 4) Make useful acquaintances. People are a resource. Teachers will give you knowledge. You need to make the most of your environment: make friends with your seniors. 5) Start learning. The University will not give you baggage with limited knowledge, it will show you that knowledge is unlimited and that the main part of it you get yourself.

Advices for first-year students

6) Set your priorities. At any University, there are specialized subjects, and there are General education disciplines. Therefore, determine the importance of each subject and distribute your attention accordingly.
7) Ask Questions. The student's goal is to know the world. So if you don't know anything, ask. Forget about the inconvenience and embarrassment.
8) Find out about all the advantages of a student card. Your student ID is a truly magical document. This is discounts on long-distance and urban transport, "the Days of student" in cafes, cinemas and entertainment centers.
9) Enjoy your student life. Travel, walk, meet new people, have fun and learn. And this time, when you wear the title of student, will be the best era of your life.
10) Be active. Always and everywhere. Therefore, take part in student life – it will not be boring.
