The building stands on pillars supporting the

weight of the structure raised above ground level. Le Corbusier leaves the structure free of internal support walls and relieves the facade of the load-bearing function. The architect seeks to "dissolve" the house in the surrounding nature with the help of wide ribbon Windows, solid glazing, greenish thin columns of the first floor and a flat roof-terrace.
