Our town is over 200 years old. It was founded
as a fortress at the foot of the Caucasian Mountains
in 1784.
Слайд 4The oldest street in our town is Prospect Mira (
the first half of the
19 century). Each building in
it has its own peculiar style. It is thehistoric centre of the town.
Слайд 5In 1774 North Ossetia was joined to Russia by the
order of the Empress Katherine. The Square of Friendship of
two peoples commemorates this event.
