Слайд 2Flora
The climatic conditions of the Nizhny Novgorod region are the
reason for the formation of three natural zones on its
territories-taiga, coniferous and broad-leaved forests, and forest-steppes.
Слайд 3Flora
The tier of trees is a lot of oaks, limes
and ash trees, much less often there are elms. Holly
maple is also one of the representatives of the tree tier.
Слайд 4Flora
Among the shrubs, hazels, forest honeysuckle and warty birch are
quite common. In contrast to the taiga zone, there are
almost no mosses and lichens in the forest.
Слайд 5Flora
The grass cover is quite wide and diverse. In the
forests you can see the ground, lungwort, wild ginger and
many others.
Слайд 6Flora
There is practically nothing left of the steppes in the
Nizhny Novgorod region. The main representatives of these zones are
cornflowers, forget-me-nots, bluebells, wormwood, as well as steppe cherries and plums.
Слайд 7Flora
Meadow soil is suitable for the growth of ragweed. And
on the moistened ground and on reservoirs, reeds, cattails, white
water lilies and yellow pods grow.
Слайд 8Fauna
The animal world of the Nizhny Novgorod region is also
wide and diverse. A considerable number of representatives of different
species live here. In the Nizhny Novgorod region, you can find wild boars, deer, and moose.
Слайд 9Fauna
As in the forests, so in the open spaces, there
are Martens, weasels, stoats and ferrets. Also representatives of small
animals of the region are: badgers, otters and Minks.
Слайд 10Fauna
The region is home to many birds. Predatory birds are
falcons, hawks and ospreys.
Слайд 11Fauna
Permanent and frequent inhabitants of the area are sandpipers and
gulls. Woodpeckers are irreplaceable inhabitants of both forests and steppes
of these places.
