USC students and athletes are known as Trojans.

name appeared when Los Angeles Times sportswriter Owen Bird reported
the USC athletes "fought on like the Trojans of antiquity"

of Los Angeles, 2 miles southwest of Downtown Los Angeles.
USC
also operates the Health Sciences Campus downtown.There is also a USC Village.
