is a two- stage quality assurance system in training specialists in engineering and technology – professional engineers.
First stage – public and professional accreditation of engineering educational programmes in universities: ABET (the USA), ECUK (the United Kingdom), CEAB (Canada), JABEE (Japan), ASIIN (Germany) etc.
Second stage – certification and registration of professional engineers: NCEES (the USA), ECUK (the United Kingdom), Engineers Canada (Canada), IPEJ (Japan), etc.
