will talk about the roots of the English language.

Old English.
In the 9th century
BC name 'English' was used to refer to all German
dialects common in the British Isles .
In 5-6 centuries BC Britain sailed across the North Sea Angles, Saxons, Jutes and Frisians .
These languages belong to the German group. Today's English closest to Frisian, Flemish, Dutch and German languages and is some what similar to Icelandic, Norwegian, Danish and Swedish.
In modern Icelandic preserved some features of a thousand years ago, lost in modern English. Therefore, Icelandic language most similar to Old English.

Frisian - the closest relative of
English. Frisian language was very similar to Old English. This
similarity is explained by the shift of a sound that was unique to Frisian and English.
In Frisian there are similarities between the grammar and English numerals, for example:

Since English and German are different
foreign languages taught in school, they have a lot like
that.
Similarities explained belonging to the family of Indo-European languages. German and English are Germanic group of languages.

Dutch language belongs to the West
Germanic subgroup. The sound of the Dutch language is English.
The similarity of the Dutch language with English is not only grammatically but also in lexical terms:
