village of Yudino, a suburb of Kazan on July 3,

1949. Since childhood, young Vitya had been interested in sports. His older brother who played for the local football team "Lokomotiv" which took part in the draws of the championship and the Cup of Kazan was an example to follow for him. Viktor also enjoyed cycling, table tennis and chess.

In

1967, an 18-year-old boy was invited to Zelenodolsk "Chaika", which

played in the championship of the RSFSR. Viktor became a Central striker and he scored 24 goals during the season. As a result, an invitation from the capital of the Republic to the Kazan "Labor reserves" followed. There Viktor had one successful season, after which he moved to the main team of Tatarstan — «Rubin». But rumors about the talented guy reached Moscow, and in the fall of 1970, the head coach of the national team, Valentin Nikolaev, invited Kolotov to the national team. This is the only time in history when a second League player has become a member of the USSR national team.

In the autumn of 1970, Kolotov applied for

three clubs at once: CSKA and Torpedo Moscow and Dynamo

Kiev but this led to a scandal. After Kolotov had moved to Kiev he was disqualified for a year, but after the request of the head coach of the USSR national team, Valentin Nikolaev, Viktor returned and was happy to continue his carrer.

Having completed his playing

carrer, Kolotov became a coach in Ukrain. After his retirement,

Kolotov was offered a job at Rubin in tandem with Pavel Sadyrin. However, he had several heart attacks. Problems with health did not allow him to start working. On January, 2 in 2000 he went hunting with his friends. The next day Viktor Kolotov died from a heart attack.
Life after a football career  .Having completed his playing carrer, Kolotov became a coach in Ukrain.
