More than two centuries ago, in 1766, from
the Ashkadar marina, the first caravan of 30 barrels loaded
with Iletsky salt for the central provinces of Russia sent down the Belaya River. The foundation of Sterlitamak is also associated with this year, the name of which came from the combination of two words: "Sterli" - "tamak", which means the mouth, mouth. The city soon turned into a shopping center: Orenburg - Ufa and Verkhneuralsk - Bugulma - Kazan. built in 1959. In front of the Salavat cinema in
1974 a monument to Salavat Yulaev was erected, the authors of which are: sculptors A.G. Dema, M.P. Shabaltin.
This is a monument to the national hero and poet of the Bashkir people Salavat Yulaev, it was erected in connection with the 200th anniversary of the peasant war led by E.I. Pugacheva, The monument was registered by the decision of the Bureau of the Sterlitamak city committee of the CPSU, the executive committee of the city council of people's deputies on August 16, 1979 №23.

The Russian Drama Theater is Bayazitov's house; in
1922 it became a Soviet power station, which used to
provide the operation of a leather factory and sawmills. February 5, 1946 By the decree of the BASSR government in Sterlitamak, the Russian Drama Theater was founded, the troupe of which was composed of employees of the former Beloretsk Drama Theater, as well as partially the actors of the Ufa Russian Drama Theater and Ensemble at the Bashkir State Philharmonic Society.

It was built on May 9, 1967.
The ensemble was authored by architect B. Milyutin, sculptor M.P.
Shabaltin. The monument is a figure of a warrior-liberator holding a torch in his raised left hand - a symbol of Victory, with his left foot he rests on a Nazi helmet. In the center of the five-pointed star, at the feet of a soldier on the pedestal, the Eternal Flame burns. The dimensions of the monument are 5x15 meters, the height of the stele is 14 meters, and the upper mark of the soldier’s outstretched arm with a torch is 8 meters. The monument is dedicated to soldiers - citizens who did not return during the Second World War. During the war, 16,150 residents of Sterlitamak and the region fought on the fronts, of which 8,590 people died and went missing.
